The Stand Up To Bullying campaign of the Diana Award charity organization culminates on July 5th with Stand Up To Bullying Day.
The Diana Award is a charity that was founded as a legacy to Diana, Princess of Wales. Diana believed that young people can change the world for the better. The focus of this charity is on empowering young people to make a positive impact in their communities. In particular, the charity organizes anti-bullying training and mentoring programs for children of all ages who then become anti-bullying ambassadors in their schools (http://www.antibullyingpro.com). Their program has been extremely successful and over 45,000 young people have been recognized since 1999 for their positive impact in their communities.
The Diana Award has numerous supporters among celebrities including James McVey of The Vamps, the actor Will Poulter and the director Dustin Lance Black. But probably the most recognizable face among the supporters is Prince William, who has been passionate about working to bring attention to the problem of bullying in our communities and to implement anti-bullying campaigns/programs.
